ADULT SUNDAY SCHOOL CLASSES--9:30 AM

"As long as you live you learn; as long as you learn you live."

All adults are invited to join us each Sunday morning from 9:30 to 10:30 AM for study and fellowship. 

Here are our Adult Sunday School offerings.  We encourage you to "plug in!"  There is something for everyone. 

• Christianity or Cult? Keith Kirchartz leads a study on Mormons, Jehovah's Witnesses, Seventh-Day Adventists, Christian Science--they seem to be Christian, but do they really teach the faith of our fathers?  Are the ancient heresies still with us?  Join us in the Stephen Ministry Parlor as we look at these faiths and more, and try to find out what they really believe.
• Men's Bible Study--The Gospel of Mark -- Join the men of Zion in the church balcony as they explore the life of Jesus--his radical lifestyle, his conflicts with "religious people," his values and message.
• Genesis II -- Pastor Riesen reprises his Genesis class in the library with a second edition.  This study of the incredible book of Genesis is about God and greed and grace; about life, laughter and loneliness.  This book alone is about birth, beginnings, and betrayal; about siblings, squabbles and sex; and about power, prayer, prison and passion!  Whew!  Where's the sign-up sheet?!?!

Please note: the Establishing Faith class will be on hiatus until the end of Pastor's Genesis II study.

New Members Class-Pastor Riesen will be offering a new member class beginning in February. Those wishing to join Zion's congregation will be meeting on Wednesday evenings over the Meager Meal dinner which begins at 5:30 in Fellowship Hall. PRE-LENTEN RETREAT

Save the date!  February 17/18 at the Franciscan Spirit and Life Center on McRoberts Road, Castle Shannon.  Zion is hosting an adult overnight retreat where you can take a look at the spirtual habits that you can form or further develop that will enrich your relationship to God. Come and explore how God changes lives through our own disciplines.  A perfect way to prepare for the Lenten season.

Plan on joining the group for dinner on Friday to begin our retreat which will culminate with participants worshiping at Zion during the 5:00 service.

THURSDAY MORNING WOMEN'S BIBLE STUDY

If you are looking for a Bible Study during the week, why not join the group of women led by Mary Severson on the second Thursday of every month at 10 AM?  This group meets in Fellowship Hall from September through June and will be studying lessons on basic Christian concepts such as: Who is Jesus?  Where do we find what God has to say about Himself?  What has He chosen to reveal to us in Jesus Christ?  Grab a cup of coffee and a chair and join us!
