SCHOOL KITS FOR LUTHERAN WORLD RELIEF

The Quilters are collecting items to assemble School Kits to be distributed through Lutheran World Relief to children whose lives have been disrupted by war or some other disaster.  The ladies have made cloth bags to hold your donated school supplies.  The school bags and quilts will be sent in late September, but the collection of school supplies begins now.  Thanks to your generosity, a child will receive a school kit from someone who cares.   ONLY the items below can fit into the cloth school bags.

Please place your items in the designated boxes located in the Narthex or at the lower entrance leading to Fellowship Hall.  Monetary gifts are also welcome to purchase any items needed to complete a school kit.  Please note "Quilter School Kit" on your donation.  Thank you for your support!

• Notebooks or pads 8-1/2 x 11 inches containingn 150-200 sheets of paper
• Blunt scissors.  The safety scissor with imbedded steel blades is an excellent choice.
• Packages of six new pencils with erasers
• 30 centimeter rulers, or a ruler with centimeters on one side and inches on the other
• Pencil sharpeners
• Erasers, approximately 2-1/2 inches long
• Construction paper in assorted colors
• Crayons (24 count)
• Individually wrapped bars of soap
